Inspirational and architecturally significant, Infant Jesus of Prague dates back to the 17th century and remains a fine example of Baroque architecture. Most visitors come to see a waxwork statue of infant Jesus, brought here from Spain in the 1620s. The church's main claim to fame, this figure is said to have protected the city from plague outbreaks and the destruction caused elsewhere by the Thirty Years' War. The focus of worldwide attention, the figure attracts a steady stream of religious travelers, arriving from as far away as Latin America. Don't miss the onsite museum, housing dozens of costumes used to dress up the statue for various religious occasions. A lot of pilgrims come to this church to bend down to the infant Jesus- the small statue.the entrance is free of charge. Every Sunday there is a mess at 10.00.in Czech language and at 12.00.in English. There is a museum inside. Just go upstairs and you can see some dresses of infant Jesus as a present of rulers, popes and other people. Fascinating place
