Cayo Saetia Island, Holguin

#4 of 11 in Parks in Holguin
An idyllic, uninhabited 42 m sq (137 ft sq) island sitting a top a coral reef, Cayo Saetia Island offers a quirky paradise where zebras, parrots and ostriches live side by side. The cay used to be the private holiday home to Fidel Castro until 1994, when it became open to the public. Take a dip along crystal shores before a jeep tour takes you around the island to visit African safari animals that roam free here. Grab a relaxing, tasty lunch at the islands resort, under the shade of mangroves with picturesque views. • Absolutely adorable place. Crystal clear water, white soft sands and the nature around is stunning. Definitely go on a safari around the island, there is a lot to see. No wonder it is called Paradise Island.
