Visit Grgur Ninski Statue, dedicated to a medieval Croatian bishop who introduced the Croatian language into church services and reinforced Christianity within the kingdom. The statue represents the bishop with book in hand and a look of poised determination. Carved by Ivan Meštrović, a great Croatian sculptor of the 20th century, the statue is said to bring good luck to those who rub its toe. Snap a photo of this 1929 Art Nouveau creation, noting that its toe is worn to a shine.
