Volsonis, Krk

We had dinner at Volsonis for New Year's Eve, yesterday. It was our first time there and the drinks were very nice. Also the location is awesome and the waiters were all very kind and fast. Prices were OK, not high nor low. Sadly, here comes the bad part of the review. For the entire dinner we were extremely cold despite the burning fireplace (which kept burning only thanks to the customers sitting right next to it, since the staff neglected it completely). Appetizers were OK, but then they served COLD roasted pork. The meat wasn't really tasty to start with, and having to eat it cold made it all much worse. We ended our dinner quickly just to go outside as soon as possible. And trust me, staying outside waiting for the fireworks didn't make us freeze as much as having dinner there. It was terrible, and it's a shame because the location and the waiters were super.

Secret garden not to be missed for a nice drink. Unique in the middle of old walls. Seats on logs or old stones. Cushions were taken away in the middle of our drink as staff had concerns of a coming thunderstorm.
