Learn about the history of jade processing and its uses throughout the ages, see a raw block of the precious gemstone, and admire the impressive jade carvings and jewelry. The bad news is that those who sell the ticket attend as if they were doing a favor, with a bad face and without stopping talking to each other, as if they were at home. Also, the downstairs toilets were dirty, paperless and without gel, and when I reported it "I was lathed". Gmo!
Es un Museo muy didáctico, esta muy bonito y bien organizado, cada sala tiene cosas muy interesantes para conocer. Vale mucho la pena visitarlo. more »It is a very didactic museum, it is very nice and well organized, each room has very interesting things to know. It's worth a visit.
Really detailed exhibits showing the history of the native Americans and their traditions before the arrival of the Spaniards. Although, most of the exhibits were centered around Jade, there's still a lot of general archeological exhibits. I really loved the exhibit that had a prototype of a dig. I would say it was worth spending 2 hours here to go over all the floors. The only minus for me was that they didn't have a lot to offer at the gift shop. Would have been nice to be able to buy some jade as a keepsake.
A fantastic collection of jade and pottery spread out over several floors. Very interesting exhibits charting the culture of the native people. The amount and quality of the preserved relics is almost overwhelming. Well worth the visit if you happen to be in the capital.
