  • What a great experience for an amazing cause. Max was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I highly suggest doing this tour.  more »
  • One is only allowed to visit with a guided tour that was a bit of a disappointment for us in the start. But the tour itself turned out to be excellent. The institution is closer to a wild animal...  more »
  • Wow what a great experience! Truly passionate volunteers and so much knowledge. Our guide had great stories and was very personable!!! We fought the hard battle on how to decide between baby sloths or baby monkeys being the cutest..... sloths won!!! Make sure this is on your itinerary if you visit the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Don't feel like you need to book this through a tour company, take the bus and enjoy the day! Great "local" beach across the street that is a hidden gem!!!
  • Wonderful place to visit animals from up close. What you see depends what animals were brought in, but for sure you will see some absolutely adorable sloths! The guides are full of knowledge and interesting stories. Since 100% of the entry fee ($20) goes toward care of the animals, the guides are unpaid. Tips for them are not required, but appreciated. Worth it!
