Take a guided tour to illuminate your visit with interesting information on colorful species, including red-eyed tree frogs, poison dart frogs, and a host of more obscure types endemic to Costa Rican wet forest. Watch for unusual-looking species, such as the wrinkly Mexican tree frog and the translucent glass frog. We arrived around lunch - with no reservation - while waiting for Jose to come back (5 minutes) we were offered cold drink. The place is not tourist trap and it is worth a visit. Beside seeing frogs..... more »

Jose is an amazing guide ( and photographer!!! ) and gave us a lovely tour . very knowledgeable. It's a family owned business and they make every effort to sustain and conserve the area ecologically..... more »

Randall gave us a tour in spanish (also spoke english). He showed us plants, birds and of course frogs. He was so patient with our kids (5&4) and kept their attention . We appreciated his attention with us and overall knowledge. He even gave us a local tips of the area when we were done. We went in the afternoon and were the only ones there. We were offered fresh juice at the ends of the tour.

Loved this place and José's story of how he and his family changed it from a family farm to a "Frog Heaven". There is so much to see in a small area. Beautiful flowers, birds, butterflies, three different kinds of poison dart frogs, red-eyed tree frogs, and yes a sloth! Make sure to stop here and check it out!
