Trip Planner: Central America / Costa Rica / Province of Puntarenas / Dominical / Parque Reptilandia
Have an up-close look at some of Costa Rica's scariest creatures at Parque Reptilandia, an entertaining and educational place for all ages. Home to lizards, crocodiles, tortoises, and snakes, this park simulates the natural habitats of its residents. Don't miss the Komodo dragon and the giant anaconda, and ask the knowledgeable staff for additional information about these fierce creatures. Stroll around to find a nursery for newborn reptiles and the botanic garden with over 100 plants and trees. Parque Reptilandia is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Dominical Edition.

Of course, everything behind glass. If you want to see a Komodowaran, an anaconda or a crustacean lizard, you can also get a taste here, even if these animals are not local ;) For a short trip a nice stopover for 2h.

The only negative is the lack of maintenance compared to the dirty windows and the erased panels to replace.
We stopped in to take a break from a long car ride. Wow, we were surprised. They had a number of different snakes, frogs, turtles and other reptiles. You could view them close up and learn a bit about each one. They even had some baby snakes and lizards that were born in the last year. It was crazy how small they are. It took us about an hour to meander through the facility. It was nice because most of it was covered or in the shade when we went. That made it a little bit cooler.
Nice place to visit and see the reptiles
