A very beautiful piece of colonial architecture, both outside and inside. I was amazed at the elegance. Maintenance is ok. Ventilation inside the church is good. Statutes are magical. Historically very important in not just Colombian, but also in Latin American, as the city is one of the oldest. If you are in Santa Marta, this is a must visit place.

Beautiful church! We were there during the celebration of Santa Marta foundation day, and there were many people at the Catedral. We didn't get a chance to get inside the church and look for the town's founder ashes, which said to be just to the left at the entrance.
