Take a boat to Crab Cay-Cayo Cangrejo and spend some time swimming in its clear turquoise waters. The small 2 hectare (5 acre) island has little besides palms and coconut trees, crabs, and some lizards. Sunbathe and take a dip, or consider snorkeling among the patches of coral to see colorful reefs and numerous fish species. Climb to the top of the cay for panoramic views of the blue Caribbean waters or relax in the shade with a delicious coconut drink. Bring your camera to capture this picturesque spot. • you must see this tiny island from paradise. we took a boat right from the restaurant but you can take a caiac or a paddle board.  more »
  • We visited in the morning and it is worth allowing a good hour or maybe 2 to enable some sunbathing, snorkelling and a drink from a basic bar and snack place. There is a charge to get on the island...  more »

  • Super, You must visit this place, you must bring snorkel to see the turtles and many colorful fish. It's paradise.
  • Great views but a bit overrated This is a great place to snorkel and kayak around and see the different blues of the Caribbean Sea, but be aware it can be really expensive: boats there are quite expensive, rent kayaks is not cheap either and once you get there you have to pay another entry fee. I recommend to rent a kayak (if you negotiate you can get it for 30k), paddle there and spend a bit of time kayaking and snorkelling around. Apparently you can see wildlife around there (we only see big fish) but you probably need to get there before all the tourist boats. If you are willing to pay the entry fee to the cay you can hike for 5 minutes and get to the top of it to see a panoramic view of the Caribbean see, but there are other places on the island where you can see similar views.
