Pueblito Paisa, Medellin

#1 of 18 in Historic Sites in Medellin
Historic Site · Tourist Spot
Experience the charm of a typical Paisa region town at Pueblito Paisa, perched at the top of a hill overlooking Medellin. The replica village takes you back in time to the late 19th century and allows you to experience what life was like in the so-called "Coffee Triangle." Built in part using scraps of buildings demolished to make way for a power plant, including church doors and school furniture, the town was opened for public in 1978. Grab a typical Colombian meal at one of the model town's restaurants, and enjoy spectacular views over the city while you wander through the quaint streets. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Medellin holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Pueblito Paisa and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.
