Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Catedral Basilica Metropolitana de Medellin sits in the heart of the city and the seat of the city’s Archbishop. The Romanesque-style building is made of adobe clay bricks dating back to the late 19th century and was designed by French architect Charles Emile Carre.
