Landmark · Tourist Spot
A classy evergreen seaside sanatorium, Badaguan Scenic Resort offers a survey of colonial European architecture at the turn of the 20th century. Originally a residential area for Germans during their protectorate of Qingdao, this historical coastal mansion retreat for foreigners features national styles of architecture from more than 20 European countries, distributed across 70 hectares (1,729 acres). Each street lined with a different tree species, the area makes a popular spot for wedding photography. Take a stroll along the canopied lanes to explore architectural styles including Romanesque, Neo-Gothic, Baroque, and Rococo, and then relax and gaze at the ocean from the sandy beach. • BADGUAN Scenic Area and the BEACH (!!) was a perfect afternoon and evening activity in Qingdao. The neighborhood is beautiful with colonial houses and perfect gardens and small streets... the nearby beach sizzles with activities during the summer at least, and it is a fun place to stroll through. There must have been at least 20 couples having their pre-wedding photo-shoots done here and it felt special.
  • Flowers for four seasons are ready for visitors!! It’s a huge park for taking great pictures! I spend 2 hours but can’t even finish 1/4 of the Park, it contains botanical garden, rock garden...etc. Definitely worth a full afternoon!!
