La Piedra Feliz, Valparaiso

4.3
Sway to the rhythms of jazz, blues, and salsa, and rock to the sounds of live music in the safe, homey atmosphere of La Piedra Feliz. This massive house along the waterfront features several music rooms, including the local Chilean music room, the salsa room, and the tango room--plus an unusual looking cafe-restaurant and a nightclub in the basement. The main room hosts live music shows and standup comedy. Learn Chilean dancing with scarves from the friendly locals. If you arrive before 11 pm, you won't miss happy hour. The venue welcomes all ages, but guests over 30 will probably feel most comfortable. • Expensive and insecure. The music was bad especially the live show. The letter is not up to date and one encounters surprises in the order. Not recommended.

  • We went on a Saturday with my partner on recommendation. The start time is at 21:30 hrs. Entry per person costs $10,000 which entitles you to a wide-choice cover. Until 23:00 is the happy hour that allows you to buy drinks almost half the price, so it is recommended to consume this and then redeem the cover (unless you are very thirsty and consume both before) The audience that attends is adult. All in a nice and friendly atmosphere. The place has 3 rooms, at the entrance is the bar, the stage and the tables. At both ends you access a SALSA sector, and another to sector 80s. The orchestra that was that day and that made everyone dance was The Great Sound, very entertaining. Totally recommended to go as a couple or as a group, as there is music for all tastes. The only minor detail is perhaps that they could improve the magnification that was acceptable but for ears a little more demanding is noticed. I'm talking about sound quality, not volume.

  • Heard of this place before but never got a chance to visit, so I regret not seeing it earlier. This place is awesome for live music and those who enjoy the 80's era of music with a dedicated area to enjoy one of the best genre of music. Food and service is a great, do yourself a favour and visit La Piedra Feliz if you are in Valparaíso.
  • Opening hours are a lie. Not open. This place sucks.
