  • Tranquil and Happy - that's how I felt after I left the place "Laguna Chaxa". Flamingo is such rare and beautiful bird. You get to watch them peacefully stroll in the salt flat, sometimes they put their heads underneath the water, sometimes they walk back gracefully or fly across the sky with a curve... it's all so surreal as an out of the world experience - there indeed such rare bird in the world. and live in such a weird place. All the combination just ignite incredible happiness and tranquility in your heart.
  • If you manage to go there before the first bus of tourists arrive, you can sneak up to the flamingos and take pictures at very short distances, just amazing! We waited at the gate for the rangers to open and went in first. Worth it!
