Beat the heat in the forested setting of Lake Caburga. Take a walk through the paths surrounding the lake, or splash in the water at three different beaches, which offer umbrellas, loungers, and kayaks to rent. One of the beaches features black volcanic sand. Accommodations and restaurants surround the lake, but you can also bring food to have a picnic outside. If you are interested in staying in the outdoors, check out the several campgrounds around the lake. Lake Caburga is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , custom trip planner Edition.

  • Only the local driver can take you here. Forget about you driving yourself there. The beach is in a cove. Rocky. Nothing exciting.  more »
  • This is a nice quiet lake in southern Chile not too far from Pucon. You have to have your own transportation to get there, but there is plenty of free parking. The shoreline is large, and there are...  more »

  • This is about a 9hr drive down from Santiago, I brought the Packraft out not really knowing what to expect. This is a massive lake (with equally massive lakes nearby) all with exceptionally clear blue waters. This was an amazing paddle and the water to extremely clam while I was there. I was able to fly the drone and get spectacular views of surrounding mountains and Volcanoes. This is absolutely a favorite spot for the locals and can get pretty packed, however the beaches are pretty clean. You are able to rent jet skis and kayak as well. There are a series of small gift shops/snacks shacks and pay as you go bathrooms (300CLP). We got here early and were able to beat the rush and find more secluded parking a bit further down the road under a shade tree(car camping) Although there’s not camping on the beach, there are two spots we found on iOverlander that worked for us for a night. If you enjoy swimming and sunbathing while taking in incredible views and down mind a small crowed I’d definitely recommend this. If your looking to get further out on the water it makes it that much butter! 🚣‍♂️ IG: adventureoveramenities_
