I booked the Arriero Experience in December 2016 and it totally blew my mind! I had high expectations in experiencing the real lifestyle of an Chilean arriero and this trip exceeded them in every possible way. We drove about 60 horses up into the mountains and crossed all sorts of mountain terrains. One time we even had to rescue a little foal out of a deep swamp. Danilo, my guide was very knowledgeable and had a lot of interesting facts and stories to share. Every day I got the chance to get to know some local people that live in the mountains and experience their authentic lifestyle. On the way back we made a little detour over some hot springs - it was the best and most relaxing spa day I had in a while :D. I am glad I made the investment for this trip and I am sure to come back for another trip when I visit Chile the next time. Until then - un abrazo y muchas muchas gracias!
