Museo Colonial Aleman Reviews
Andar pelos jardins do museu é um encanto. Vale a pena subir até a casa de cima e apreciar o jardim. Beautiful setting with lush gardens, stately old buildings show how homes and businesses were housed together, filled with antique furniture, clothing, appliances, tools and equipment used by early settlers from Germany. We had some lively discussions about how each item was used and my young sons marveled at the quantity of work that went into life at that time. The blacksmith shop was especially impressive with a bellows, anvil, and the old forge in place and a nice sampling of tools and items that the blacksmith would have made. The grounds are beautiful and I imagine it is a highly desirable place for weddings and parties with all the gorgeous plants and flowers and water features adorning the gardens.
If you're near Frutillar, stop by the German Colonial Museum for a couple hours. Learn what life was like for the early colonists. The landscaping is superb, the buildings are in remarkable condition, and the displays are very educational.
