  • It is open from 8.30 to 17.15 hs although the office rangers tell you that it closes at 17 hs The entrance costs CLP 3000 for foreigners and CLP 2000 for Chileans. In general there are 2 circuits: The first circuit is the one that runs through all the lagoons and takes you 3 hours 30 min, allowing you to contemplate beautiful forests with local vegetation passing through the Laguna Verde, Laguna Los Mallines, Laguna venus and Laguna Los Sapos. Halfway through there is a viewpoint but nothing striking. On the way there is also the witchhouse museum, although closed. Along the trail are posters explaining the native flora and there is even a dining room for picnics. The second circuit leads to the ascent of the Cinchao hill of 1361 meters above sea level. The trail lasts 4h 30 min, it is 10 km in a circuit. The tour is nice, not complicated but if long, crossing the local flora of ñires, notros and lengas with very good views of Coyhaique. At the top one is very exposed to the sun so a lot of sunscreen, hat, glasses, windbreaker is recommended. The trails are well signposted, impossible to miss, just follow the signs and pile-up stones. From the hill there are excellent panoramic views of the city of Coyhaique, the Simpson Valley and surrounding mountains. Recommended to do it in half a day or a little longer.
