I hope they invest money in it, but it's still an interesting ride to take.
Estuvimos el fin de semana en este museo, muy interesante conocer reliquias de todo el mundo adquiridas por don Pedro del Rio durante sus viajes, entre ellas una momia traída desde Alejandría, objetos ... more »We spent the weekend in this museum, very interesting to know relics from all over the world acquired by Don Pedro del Rio during his travels, including a mummy brought from Alexandria, objects from China, France, Russia, among many other countries. The museum is the original house, you can appreciate some furniture of the time, but the house needs restoration in general. From the museum you can visit the beach at the mouth of the Bío Bío about 5 minutes away.
Excellent collections from all over the world. Pedro del Rio Zanartu was quite the world traveler, and the museum chronicals this. Cases and cases of amazing artifacts from India, China, Italy, Greece, Egypt, US... You name it. Everywhere. Seeing the mummy up close was cool. The building was Senor Zanartu's residence. The grounds contain beautiful hiking trails. Wonderful day trip. Superior and passionate commentary from Oskar who guided our tour. He loves this place too.
Lovely place,interesting museum.
