The site where the trail is located has several camping spots, bathrooms and parking area. The entire tour lasts 2h 30min at most. There are low waterfalls, which are the most impressive in my opinion. If you go in the morning you can appreciate the rainbow formed by the waterfall and the sun. It is 20 minutes of walking, 700 meters away and almost 100 meters of elevation. The high waterfalls contain the same river as the low waterfalls, only with more height and flow. To get there are 45' from the beginning of the trail, 1.5 km and 170 m of elevation The Alerces trail contains 2 millennial larch trees over 3000 years, they are imposing. To get there you walk 20' from the beginning, it is 550 m in total with 60 m of elevation. All along the way there's a lot of vegetation, leafy I'd say. They help the signposts, a very rustic wooden bridge, wooden stairs and steps, some with strands. You can do the rainy days without problems although it is essential to my opinion trekking equipment.

Its lush vegetation, post-glacial dormations, fauna and infrastructure for public use also transform it into the National Park that ensures the best tourist experience that can be carried out in Chile.
A beautiful park with great facilities. Good information available on day hikes from the park offices. Paths and campsites are well maintained. Lovely place to walk a section of the Caratel Austral. The trip into the park from Puerto Montt is also beautiful (bus, drive or hitch via ferry).
