  • Best thing to do in Ancud. So go there. Nicely maintained- kind of small- but nice. Nothing absolutely impressive. Thousands of more impressive fortresses. But as your there you should def. See the...  more »
  • We were on a private tour and stopped by the fort after lunch. It had a nice view of the lake, but there really wasn't much else there. I wouldn't make a spsecial trip.  more »
  • Great view over the ocean and the park is though very small, but the entrance is free !
  • It's a must see in Ancud, however there is not so much guide for the tourist. This is a historical point, where one of the decisive battles for the independence of Chile took place, as the commemorative plate says (in a very old spanish).
