Stroll along Ogden Point Terminal & Breakwater, the narrow, 850 m (half-mile) walkway that juts out into the ocean from Ogden Point. Built in 1916, the walkway was used to protect the piers, and as of 2013 the long, concrete stretch has railings, making it suitable for everyone to enjoy. You can learn about the history of the breakwater from the exhibit on shore, while also discovering interesting facts about the wildlife in the area. Walking on the breakwater, you can observe numerous ships and ferries coming into the harbor, spot seals, jellyfish, and seagulls, and admire the lighthouse at the very end of the walkway. • It is quite a structure to walk around on and a recommended visit. Really enjoyed seeing some wildlife as well at the breakwater.  more »
