  • My partner and I both love walks, greenery, flowers, and trees. So, this place was the perfect place to spend a few hours on a Saturday on our first full-day in the city. While here, we both decided that not only must we return to Vancouver one day, but we would visit these beautiful botanical gardens in either the summer or the fall.
  • Our visit was in the dead of winter, but even in January there were some plants that were blossoming. The entire time we were strolling around there was a pair of bald eagles calling back and forth, flying overhead, and perching in the taller trees. The gardens are expansive and varied, and it would take multiple visits to properly explore the whole grounds. There's plenty to explore: the gardens vary from BC rainforest to wetlands to cactus house, and many other ecosystems. It's more of a work in progress than a glitzy tourist attraction, but well worth the visit.
