Wander the manicured gardens of Queen Elizabeth Park, taking in a diverse range of colorful plant life. Watch for sculptures as you stroll the 52 hectare (130 acre) park, including a piece by prominent British sculptor, Henry Moore. You have the opportunity to observe and inspect some of the 1,500 trees in the site's arboretum. The Bloedel Conservatory represents a large bio-dome environment, complete with 200 free-flying birds and tropical flora. The park features an artists' corner in summer, where you can examine and buy original works. If you're a fan of public markets, be sure to spend time at the one in Granville Island. In addition to amazing local seafood products, you'll find food that reflects the diverse ethnic groups that make Vancouver unique, from a multitude of Asian cuisines to Polish and German. Stop for some salmon candy, especially that made with Canadian maple syrup. It'll blow your mind.
A must visit in summer. Great place for a picnic, Pokemon Go, small hike, or just a relaxing afternoon lying on the grass. Conservatory is a must visit if it is your first time here. Please keep trash to a minimum as the park is very clean.. let's keep it that way.
