Fans of classical music appreciate Toronto Music Garden, a picturesque urban green space and outdoor music venue inspired by Bach’s First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello. Curves and swirling pathways as well as graded seating typify the gardens' attractive architecture. Designed by landscape architect Julie Moir Messervy with help from internationally famed cellist Yo Yo Ma, the gardens host an array of concerts throughout the year; check the schedule ahead of arrival. Even if there are no events scheduled, take some time out for contemplation in these verdant settings. Make Toronto Music Garden a centerpiece of your Toronto vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Toronto trip maker.

  • It is a very nice and great place to meditate or even have some quality time for yourself. The only thing I was not happy with was this beautiful place was completely unmaintained during winters.
  • A beautiful spot by the water to relax and be at peace. Friendly locals are plentiful here, and the park, though smaller than others on the city, it's well designed so you can easily find a spot that seems secluded, and you'll get the signs of wind of the lake, or concerts that take place in the garden. I highly recommend this urban parkette.
