St Michael's Cathedral Basilica stands proudly as one of Toronto's finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture. Buttressed walls and pointed arches remind of European Gothic designs, while the cream-colored bricks and teal accents give the exterior a pleasing neutral palette. Note the ribbed vaults and exposed beams that decorate the interior of the church, as well as the hand-blown stained glass windows, the most prominent a Baroque-style interpretation of the Crucifixion by French artist Etienne Thevenot.     After a Major Renovation inside and out St. Michael Catherdral is ready. My afternoon of Mediation, Reflection. One of the Best places to find that moment of Peace and Quiet. On Bond Street not far from Ryerson University & Yonge Street, Eaton Centre, St Michaels Hospital, Dundas Square. Security on site. Public washrooms are in the basement. Wheel Chair accessible. Very well maintained. Whispering can be very loud. Think about it. Women in high heels can be annoying. The sound disturbs the entire space entering and leaving. Some can be really inconsiderate during the time of mass. It is not hard to carry soft shoes and change them at the entrance. Something to think about. Respect the Space a great amount of Volunteer time goes into maintaining the Space for you.
