Canada's largest city square, Nathan Phillips Square provides rich cultural and architectural history in a lively and bustling environment. Opened in 1965, the square has a reflecting pool, a peace garden, a permanent stage and numerous sculptures. Take a walk to the southern arch to see an installed fragment of the Berlin Wall and enjoy a relaxing stroll through the peace garden to the eternal flame-- originally lit from an ember of the Hiroshima Peace Flame. A restaurant looks out over the pool where you can grab a bite to eat or head to the elevated walkway toward the City Hall for great views of this buzzing square. • A nice location in the middle of downtown. In winter, you can skate on the square. Skates and helmet rentals at a very affordable rate. Great fun to skate. Very friendly staff. There are licensed...  more »
  • May be due to COVID-19, there was nothing to see.. I believe from other posts, that it will be lively otherwise.  more »

  • Nathan Phillips square is like A-blast from. A futuristic building constructed in 1965 and still looks architectural I ahead of its time as of current date. N the Winter time there is lots of place to skate out in front and also to enjoy fantastic ice sculptures. And the summertime there are nice flowers and plants to enjoy it is a very nice place to visit Don't forget that while visiting at city Hall you can get your picture taken in front of a great big colorful sign that says Toronto. It is a must see attraction if you visit the city of Toronto itself. Yes indeed, very nice
  • I took some visitors.from Curacao there today They were so. Enthusiastically about everything. Loved the planners plan of the city, so they could see where they were and where they had been too. It's so.cold but that didn't dampen their spirits....such a popular pace to visit. Make sure.to include it on your.next tour..
