Wander around the 161 hectare (400 acre) High Park, the largest park within the city limits. Amenities include an area consisting of a large pond, gardens, a zoo, and fields developed for games and picnicking, along with a rare example of unspoiled oak savanna. Take a ride around the park on the trackless train that circles the site for an overview of the different areas. A cafe here offers coffee and refreshments. If you're visiting on a weekend, you may be able to make a purchase from the organic produce market. For High Park and beyond, use our Toronto trip builder to get the most from your Toronto vacation.

  • I've visited High Park a few times over the years and as a center-piece 'main city park' it's really, really lacking. During a visit last summer there was literally feces on the floor of the one...  more »
  • High Park is the best park in the area, as it is safe and clean. Lots of parking and walking. Good for the whole family. Flowers are usually lovely in the spring. Wish they had more park benches...  more »

  • Seriously!!!! Probably the most beautiful park in Toronto. High park is set in the fabulous rolling Hills and a central Toronto area. Not only is it always lush and beautiful (even in the winter) it's absolutely refreshing. The nice thing about high park is that most of the time you can go off when the trails yourself and you don't have to stay on a beaten path. watch out for the high park cherry blossoms when they come however be careful this attraction brings pretty much every single person in Toronto into the park! Try to pick a day that's not as busy as a Saturday or Sunday to view this special event. a side note is that my husband says that a lot of Pokemon come up in this area and he's found several people to do raids against with. We've both even done raids together with others in this park. Everyone here in this area seems pretty sweet. (If your into games). There are several beautiful landmarks as well as a great history lesson in this park. Also the squirrels are extremely friendly oh, did I mention the zoo? also the restaurant however I will leave a separate post based on the restaurant ....

Lots of activities you can do with family and friends. I like to those ducks. Quack Quack Quack... Quack... Wear sun block and bug spray.. Trails for bike ride, jogging, long romantic walks.. benches to see water and ducks or peaceful sitting away from crowd.. Have lots of fun.. and make memories like we did...
