Stones 'N Bones Museum reviews
Great museum. Nice place to visit. Great variety of mammals, insects and rocks. Friendly owners, owner might be a little bit to friendly as he talks the ears off the kids who visit. more »
Great spot to walk. Enjoy the wonders of nature. Both in winter and summer. Summer means being able to swim in Lake Huron more »
Absolutely incredible museum! It's clear that the owner cares deeply about maintaining an excellent collection of an assortment of exhibits. Laura is also an absolutely out-of-this-world tour guide! The exhibits may be fantastic but they're second to her enthusiasm and passion for natural history. You learn something new every time you walk in the place and go for a tour! Definitely check this place out!
Love this place. Took two kids age 8 and 5 and they loved the exhibits. So much to take in we marveled at the taxidermy animals for a very long time. The tour guides were great with the kids providing fun information on the exhibits and a few hands on items for the kids to touch. It's not a huge place but it's packed with some really amazing artifacts, animal exhibits, rocks, minerals...it's really quite an amazing collection from a private collector. The owners are amazing, funny, helpful and we're great with the little ones. They have a scavenger hunt for the kids to fill out, upon exit they can receive a reward. The gift shop is great, so much to look at and buy, from stones, gems, fossils, jewellery, shells, starfish etc. Great place to spend a few hours and the kids will learn a lot about nature.
