Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail
Walk along Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail, a .5 km (.3 mi) boardwalk that takes you through the heart of the Mount Revelstoke forest. This wooden elevated path leads you through the dense forest vegetation as giant cedar trees more than 500 years old surrounded you. Rest on the benches that line the trail to relax and take in the atmosphere. At the head of the trail sits the Giant Cedar's Picnic area, a good stop to nibble on a snack. Bring bug repellent, as mosquitos can be present on the trail, and keep an eye out for black bears. Put Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trail at the forefront of your travel plans using our Revelstoke route planner.

Best Powder, with the longest vertical to be found. It is still a quaint town with the low key, west coast vibe and I really do not want it to change. There is something for everyone: a lot of... more »

I live in Vancouver Island, the home of the biggest trees in Canada so driving through naturally I had to stop in. The fall coolness was in the forest and the recent rain had the greens coming back to life. Stunning giant cedars growing in a harsh alpine environment that have stood the test of time. Well built boardwalk and beautiful nature walk. The parking lot has washrooms, picnic tables and lunch shelter as well. Perfect place to take a break from the highway traffic.

Beautiful place to take a break and eat lunch in the middle of a long drive. Facilities are well kept with a covered picnic table area for those looking for some shade and more picnic tables out in the open. The boardwalk is pretty quick and an easy walk that offers a chance to enjoy the beautiful flora of the area. They have proper restrooms at the far end of the parking lot for those who would rather avoid the outhouses near the covered area. Park pass required!! There is an attendant who sells passes during the peak Summer months but it's a good idea to pick one up before stopping in.
