Peterborough Lift Lock, Peterborough

Such an interesting and neat experience! We left by boat from Rice Lake, and after going through gorgeous rivers we reached out first lock. It was truly like nothing I've seen before, and I learned a lot at each stop. The people were friendly every time and helped you time your journey so it was easiest. You go under multiple bridges including a swinging one before you reach the biggest lock. It's definitely the coolest, it's like floating up in a giant bathtub. Looked haunted as well. We road up with the cruise ship so we got to hear his talk as well! Would definitely do this again.

Awesome place to visit, the staff is super friendly and talkative. In in the last week of August you can come checkout the annual kayaking festival. They go up stream up and then down. Everyone has colourful kayaks and families decorate them. After the event people party and camp out beside it.
