Located nearby Canada’s Highway 3, Spotted Lake invites you to experience the unusual sight of vibrantly colored spots atop a body of water. Framed by hills, most of the lake’s water evaporates during the summer and reveals colorful mineral deposits on its bed. It contains a rich concentration of various minerals, including magnesium sulfate, calcium, and sodium sulphates. This lake is closed from public. You can see the lake only from a distance, off the highway. There is small parking area in front of the entrance. The place can be missed easily, best to check... more »

Its an interesting mineral lake full of salt and other minerals. Information posted there suggests that it was used by First Nations to heal. One can only look at it from a vanatge point. more »

my friend told me would you jump in a lake if i told you, i said you bet on it. Here i am today in the hospital bed with 2 teeth intact and 1 ball. Lucky to be alive. But sadly lost a lot of functions, i can still i am now typing with my left toe, it's took about at least an hour just writing tihs, and that sentence was another 30 minutes. Other then less i recommend spotted deck instead of jumping in a lake and get ya deck off.

Spotted Lake is a small lake near Osoyoos. In the summer months water in the lake evaporates and round spots are visible on the surface. The spots are changing in size and colour due to different minerals that are in the water, sodium, calcium, magnesium sulphate. This is worth to see phenomena.
