Osoyoos Art Gallery, Osoyoos

The Osoyoos Art Gallery is situated in Osoyoos, one of the most unique and beautiful towns in the Okanagan Valley, and offers only original art produced by local artists and artisans. It was established in the 1990s and is a non-profit organization run primarily by volunteers.

The Art Gallery operates under the umbrella of the Osoyoos & District Arts Council; and is supported by the Arts Council and the Town of Osoyoos. The Gallery seeks to promote and encourage a wide variety of art endeavors, and to provide an outlet for area artisans to display and sell their works. As well the Gallery the Osoyoos Arts Centre building houses Studio 89 for painters and the Pottery Shop Studio for potters.

The Gallery directors are all unpaid volunteers, and the Gallery is staffed also by volunteers, except for July and August when a paid student is employed for 5 days per week.

There is no admission charge at the Gallery. Open for shows 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays inclusive, except open 7 days per week in July and August from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.

About Our Exhibitions

People's Choice, held in January, is a popular show for newly emerging artists. It is an opportunity to display their work often for the first time.

Osoyoos Young Artists in April show cases the work of the youth of the area. School children of all ages, including day cares, delight the public with examples of their creativity and ingenuity.

The Osoyoos Potters and the Artisits on Main are featured in during the year. This is an opportunity to present their unique and original works of art.
