Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area, Milton

Must see · Geologic Formation · Lookout
Taking its name from the serpent-like path cut by glaciers along the surrounding Niagara Escapement, Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area bursts with life and outdoor excursions. Spanning nearly 100 sq km (38.6 sq mi) of biodiverse landscape, the region is a natural playground for all ages, offering 17 campsites, four developed trails of varying difficulty and for the daredevils, rock climbing across three designated sights. If you're looking for a relaxing ramble, take the Rabbit Run or Vista Adventure for easy inclines and breathtaking panoramic views from Nassagaweya Lookout. For those seeking a challenge, hike the Nassagaweya Canyon Trail, a four hour round trip taking you to Crawford Lake. If hiking, bring plenty of water and a picnic. Plan my Milton trip by asking Inpirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

  • These trails are pretty easy, and a great place to run the kids or the dog. They are well marked, and the views along the way are amazing!  more »

  • I occasionally go there. The best experience I had during fall season. Red and Yellow leaves 🍁 all around. Great great and beautiful views hiking on top. Not a big one, very much recommended if you looking for a hike/walk on weekends. So peaceful and mesmerizing. Oh Canada 🇨🇦
  • Great place to go for hiking. Clean and quiet. Lots of people on the trails but since there are so many trails, you hardly see people. Cheap parking/entrance fee as well. I would definitely pay more if it was asked. I hope this area stays in this condition for a long time.
