Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, Jasper

Water Body · Nature / Park
Surrounded by snowcapped mountains, Pyramid and Patricia Lakes feature sparkling blue water and quiet beaches, picnic spots and hiking trails, as well as plenty of outdoor sports. Situated within a national park, the area around the lakes supports diverse wildlife, including elk, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats. Rent a canoe or a rowboat and paddle around a small lake island, and learn about the area's important role during World War II, when it served as the building site of an unsinkable warship--which eventually sunk when the project was abandoned. • It can be cold if the wind is blowing and you want to walk over to Pyramid Island but worth it, Also was slippery in the wooods on the trails.  more »
  • Visited these 2 lakes in the morning - not very many people around as it was a bit cold. Did some part of the trek. It was a foggy day, so didn't get many pictures.  more »
