Water Body · Nature / Park
Offering views of the mountains mirrored in its placid surface, Moab Lake is a popular fishing spot high up in the Canadian Rockies. This hidden gem is a good place to get away from the crowds, especially in the summer season. Located at 1,241 m (4,071 ft) above sea level, the lake can be accessed by a gravel mountain road, which meanders along the Whirlpool River. The scenic drive up is followed by a short hike from the parking to the boat ramp. If you keep hiking along the lakeshore, you will find that the views are worth the extra effort.
