Step back in time and discover historical artifacts and scenes at Heritage Park Historical Village, as it traces 100 years of Canadian history, from 1860 through to the 1960s. You have a wealth of attractions to explore, from original frontier sawmills and shops, to a recreated fur-trading fort. Don't miss the museum dedicated to the evolution of the automotive vehicle, with many examples and artifacts to examine. You can even dine in the past at the bar and grill, which offers a seasonal menu made from locally grown produce. Be sure to check the park's schedule for listings of ever-changing one-off events. Note that the park may be closed seasonally--best to check before visiting. A visit to Heritage Park Historical Village represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Calgary tour itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

I went with my Love, and we walked around and experienced Heritage Park. I hadn’t been there for years. What an amazing experience and riding the train brought back so many fond memories more »

What a delightful place to visit! Full of history re- enacted and activities for all. The staff was well informed and I enjoyed the ‘quick history lessons’ given by them. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the last summer farmers market and got some real good bargains for a hoot! They don’t open all year but the website will inform of the activities lined up.

Very enjoyable day out with the family. The online ticket admissions was the way to go as it allowed us to bypass those waiting in line on a very hot day. If travelling by car, arrive early to get a parking spot close to the entry or risk waiting for their shuttle or a long walk (not bad at the start of the day, but not fun at the end). We were glad that all the extra events (rides in the amusement park, train ride, horse carriage ride, boat tour, etc) were all free once you were in the park. Another sit down restaurant would be nice to have, as the one that is there fills up quickly.
