Observe a turn-of-the-century log building filled with mounted specimens of animals, plants, and minerals showcasing Canada's natural history at Banff Park Museum. You'll have the chance to view more than 5,000 taxidermy animals, most of which most can be found in the park. The exhibits outline the region's history, explaining the wildlife that travelers may see during their visit. The museum became a National Historic Site of Canada in 1985 due, in part, to the building which houses it--a 1903 exposed-log building.
