  • On the day of my return, I visited the ancient capital of Udon, in The Province of Kompong Supu, which used to be the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia because i had too much time. The distance is about 50km from Phnom Penh to the TonleSap River, so it's just a half-day course. I left at 8:00 in the morning. We asked tototok for transportation and negotiated the fare for 100,000 riels by round trip. Because it is a temple visit, it is necessary to prepare a detailed Riel tag with a new tag first of all. The local people seem to exchange it for a new bill and go to visit the temple. We exchanged 500 Riel bills, 100 Riel bills, 100 riel bills, 1000 riel bills, and 100 bills at the city's exchange office. This is 160,000 Riel. The exchange fee cost 5000 Riel. It was rainy season, but i could see the fine weather, so I painted the cream of uv cut on my skin and started. For some reason, the woman's course (207 steps) and the man's course (530 steps?) to climb? I chose a short course and on the way back, I chose a course to get off from the opposite. I came back to visit the temple and the old man of the king and the princess of the past. The local people seemed to be eating at the rest area and were relaxing, but we went straight home to Phnom Penh.

  • If you have planned many days in Phnom Penh it is worth deserving a day to visit the ancient Khmer city. It is located about 50 kms to the north accessible by tuk tuk. At the top of a mountain you will have to climb the stairs of 500 steps to access the site. It is then possible to pray in several places the different statues of Buddha and other ancient kings. Watch out for the hungry monkeys who will try to steal every crumb of food from you.
