Fazenda Babilonia, Pirenopolis

#4 of 8 in Wildlife in Pirenopolis
Nature / Park · Hidden Gem · Farm
Built in 18th century, Fazenda Babilonia was carefully preserved to tell a story of Brazil’s historical values. Considered a national heritage, the farm mansion was built by slaves using stones, wood, and adobe. Some of the wooden pillars are 15 m (49 ft) long and half a meter (2 ft) wide. The main reason to visit the farm is for an intense gastronomic trip by trying the local cuisine of the region. Go for breakfast, and savor some of 30 dishes provided, made from products from the farm. The mansion includes a large balcony, slave quarters, dining room and surrounding buildings.
