Parque Estadual do Caracol features the world-famous Caracol Waterfall, widely regarded as one of Brazil’s most spectacular falls. The waterfall is formed by the Caracol River and drops from a height of 130 m (426 ft). Situated in the middle of a lush forest, the base of the waterfall can be reached by a steep 927-step trail, which is well-maintained and marked. Nearby you can visit an observation tower, featuring a convenient elevator and offering panoramic views of the area. Cable car rides are also available, providing tourists with a unique opportunity to photograph the waterfall from the air.
