Lake Ngami, Ngamiland East

2.1
#10 of 11 in Nature in Botswana
Lake Ngami attracts visitors for its rich birdlife and raw nature. See flocks of flamingos, eagles, gulls, pelicans, and storks gathering at the basin lake. Bear in mind, however, that due to the lake's lack of outflow, its level depends on waters from the Okavango Delta down the Nhabe River, as well as heavy rains, which usually occur from December until March. Outdoor enthusiasts can camp around the lake, but the lack of tourist facilities means you'll need to bring all the necessities along with you.
