Despić House is an old merchant house in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina that was established in 1881 by one of the wealthiest and most prominent Serb families in Sarajevo. It is a branch of the Museum of Sarajevo.

  • This is on of 6 small museums we bought a joint ticket for at the Jewish Museum. It took about 20-30 minutes to walk through it. It was nice to see what was the way to furnish you house in the 19th....  more »
  • This is an old Serbian family home.Here you can see how the rich Serbian lived those days. This big house is beautiful inside out now a museum.  more »
  • Two floors showing the differences between Austria-Hungary decor and classic Ottoman ear stylings. There are similarities, tall, tile-clad heater stoves in each room, enjoying coffee and lounging/socializing being the focus of most rooms. The ornate woods are delightful, and there is even a piano to show the modern influence.
