  • Entrance Fee 10 Bs. - it's a really nice collection, so if you're into music / music instruments you should definitely go! I liked, that the rooms had themes and when you enter a room, light & music.....  more »
  • The museum collection is very surprisingly large. There are some hands on possibilities that might be great for kids. We enjoyed our visit!  more »

  • We arrived at the museum at 1pm. At 1.15pm, we were informed that the museum would be closing at 1.30pm and would reopen at 2.30pm. We asked, can we resume our visit then. We were told, you will need to buy another ticket. Now, upon entry to the museum, we interacted with two different staff members: one that sold us the tickets, and one that validated our tickets. Neither had the professionalism, or decency, to advise us of the hours or even less of this ridiculous policy. Had they informed to us at the time of entry, we certainly would have come back for the afternoon session as the 3 rooms (out of 15) we were able to see were fantastic. At 5bob a ticket, it sure is cheap, but the treatment and lack of service we received left us feeling very disappointed and cheated, and we certainly were not going to buy new tickets. Señora Antonieta/management, I suggest you review your policy, or at the very least, make sure it is clearly communicated to clients through staff.
  • A fantastic museum where you can learn lots about the musical instruments of Bolivia and how they are used in Bolivian culture. Quite a few instruments that you can try playing yourself, which is always fun! They also have art for viewing and a nice little open courtyard with friendly parakeets. Really nice folks running this place, I would highly recommend dropping in if you have the opportunity!
