Arboretum Wespelaar, Haacht

4.6
#3 of 6 in Wildlife in Flemish Brabant Province
Arboretum Wespelaar presents the visitor with a collection of trees and shrubs hardy in the climate of Belgium. The arboretum, created by Philippe de Spoelberch, contains a range of different landscapes: both ancient woodland and open spaces, natural sections and neatly tended beds and lawns. Early in spring, magnolias are main attraction, but there should be flowering trees and shrubs from April to September, while the autumn months bring a riot of colors to most of plants. Open from April 1st to November 15th. Plan to visit Arboretum Wespelaar and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended Haacht attractions using our Haacht road trip website .

  • One of the few green spaces in the area. Beautiful collection of trees and shrubs. Beautiful colour shades in autumn.

  • Take 2 hours to wander around in the arboretum of 20 ha and enjoy remarkable shrubs and trees. Especially recommended in the spring (blossoms and magnolias) and in the autumn (paintings).
