  • Beautiful building where you can get a nice guided tour. Unique insight into the time spirit. Definitely worth a visit and to keep.

  • If you have a free hour in the afternoon, visit the House of Victor Horta (now a museum). Unfortunately the visiting time is limited and the photographs are prohibited (with the obligation to deposit everything to the wardrobe). So the only way to have a souvenir of the visit (in addition to your memory) is to buy postcards or the guide (which unfortunately does not exist in Italian)

  • Nice small museum about Victor Horta, where he also lived. So you see the various living rooms but also impressions of his other buildings (scale models), a must see if you want to know more about the architect. It can that you need to wait in a queue outside before you can enter.
  • If you can stop off in Brussels, love architecture and decorative arts and/or art nouveau anything, go to the Horta House. You wander through and there is a really fun little 'collage' film with the archtect's history. Pay attention to opening times. It is an easy walk from the central train station. I stopped on my way from Paris to Gent.... otherwise I can't recommend staying in Brussels.
