Gain a better understanding of World War II in Belgium at Bastogne War Museum, where artifacts are laid out like artwork in large galleries. A modern building houses the remnants of battles, such as weapons and uniforms, as well as photos and documents. Other displays recreate areas where battles, press conferences, speeches, and even espionage took place. These theatrical spaces include lighting and sound, helping to immerse you in the history. Multimedia film and mixed audio that reconstructs that sounds of war bring the stories to life. The attraction is next to the Mardasson Memorial, so consider stopping there as part of your tour of the area. Buy tickets when you arrive and take your time with each exhibit; the musuem is rarely crowded. A visit to Bastogne War Museum represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Bastogne vacation maker app to plot your vacation.

  • Ranked in the first 2 places of experience and attraction I lived in Belgium. The historic city of Bastogne, which took place in a major battle between the Germans and the Americans during the enlarged Nazi offensive in the Ardennes. A multitude of objects, weapons, documents, an audio guide wonderful that accompanies you in the Walk of the museum and 3 views exceptional, lead the visitor from the General plan of World War II, to the special that is the Battle of Bastogne. If you succeed, don't miss it, we had a car and access was easy. Gift Shop Perfect, you won't find anything from all these in the rest of the country. Ticket reasonable.

  • We had a visit with the children and we were filled! nothing to do with the old Museum. The idea of the animations is very good!

  • Truly excellent, thought provoking museum. I didn’t want to leave! Brilliant on the historic perspective in the decade preceding WW2, as well as stories of life from all the different perspectives of those involved - those occupied as well as those in the War. Would suit all those who want to better understand how the war started, progressed and ended. Sad and thought provoking - but a really excellent visit. Great museum.
  • What a sobering experience walking where those young men, boys basically, put them selves in the most harm's way to defeat a power led by a horrible minded person. As we enjoyed the representation made by the different units and the States listed as an attribute to the star design of the top of the monument it actually began to snow, yes snow in April. 2 degrees Celsius. I couldn't be more thankful for a sacrifice of so many to contain an enemy never really seen like that before. My hats off to such a group of fantastic human beings to give it their all.
