Barbados Wildlife Reserve, Saint Peter Parish

Meet the animals at Barbados Wildlife Reserve, an animal conservation and education project. Established in 1982 as a facility for studying and conserving green monkeys, the site has grown steadily over time, now occupying 1.6 ha (4 acres) of wild mahogany forest. The reserve has an open-door policy for many of the animals; they're free to leave the enclosures during the day, so you'll notice many species roaming the shaded park with you. Spot green monkeys, agouti, caiman, and iguanas during your visit, making sure to walk through the onsite aviary to see its many colorful birds. Put Barbados Wildlife Reserve into our Saint Peter Parish trip maker and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.
