Gun Hill Signal Station, Saint George Parish

Built in the 1818 as a lookout point and storage facility for weapons, Gun Hill Signal Station served as an important part of the island's defense system before falling into ruin.   • Slightly shambolic and littered with American students doing an architectural survey so you couldn't get to any of the very small amount of exhibits. Worth a trip on the way somewhere else and a photo...  more »
  • A very pleasant place to spend an hour or so away from the beach. Some fantastic views and refreshments available too. Arrived by car and no problems with parking.
